Job summary

Legal & General is seeking a Finance Analyst to join Group Finance on a fixed-term contract until December 2027 in the UK. You’ll support expense allocation, forecasting, VAT reporting and financial controls, working with multiple finance teams to deliver accurate information and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Studying towards ACCA or CIMA
• Degree or comparable experience in an analytical finance role
• Experience in reconciliations, financial analysis and reporting
• Experience using core accounting systems for ledger postings and reconciliations
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
• Good communication and ability to work independently and with teams
• Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint; Power BI advantageous

Responsibilities

• Producing cost centre allocation reporting and supporting forecasting and planning cycles
• Preparing reconciliations, VAT returns, reporting files and statutory returns
• Reviewing accounting transactions and supporting month-end close
• Delivering management information and analytical reporting on expenses and ledgers
• Collaborating with finance teams on expense ledger and allocation processes
• Maintaining robust financial controls in line with Group standards and governance
• Supporting internal and external audit with accurate information
• Identifying process improvements and automation opportunities
