Job summary

Legal & General Group in Cardiff is recruiting a Senior Finance Analyst to join its Asset Management Finance team. The role supports expense management, reporting and financial control across international operations with a European focus on Germany, the Netherlands and Ireland.

You will contribute to month-end deliveries, liaising with UK and European stakeholders. A sound accounting foundation and strong Excel skills are key to success in this role.

Qualifications

• Good understanding of accounting processes and principles
• Strong Excel skills with lookup and advanced functions
• Experience contributing to month-end activity and working to financial deadlines
• Clear communication and ability to explain financial information effectively

Responsibilities

• Preparing and posting month-end journals, accruals, payroll entries and cost allocations
• Producing reports and delivering clear financial information in stakeholder meetings
• Managing intercompany invoices, fund recharges, journals and reconciliations
• Preparing VAT packs and supporting finance and tax queries for European entities
• Completing balance-sheet reconciliations and resolving aged or open items
• Processing client, employee and intercompany payments with an audit trail
• Maintaining headcount and cost-centre information in finance systems
• Improving processes, controls and ways of working across the finance function
