Job summary

The Opportunity Hub UK Ltd in Southampton is seeking an Investment Analyst to help grow a mid-sized Financial Services firm. You will work across research, modelling and portfolio support in a startup environment where your contributions shape outcomes.

You will build financial models, research markets, support due diligence and present to senior decision-makers, all while collaborating with founders and analysts in a flat structure.

Qualifications

• Two to five years’ experience in an investment analyst, equity research or related Financial Services role.
• Strong financial modelling skills in Excel, ideally with exposure to valuation methods (DCF, comparables, precedent transactions).
• A relevant degree, and progress towards or completion of a professional qualification such as the CFA is a plus.
• Sharp written communication. You’ll need to explain complex analysis to people who don’t have time to read forty pages of it.
• Comfortable with ambiguity. Startups change direction, and this Investment Analyst role will change shape with the business.
• Commercial instinct. Numbers matter, but so does judgement.

Responsibilities
