Job summary

Aggreko plc in Dumbarton is recruiting a Financial Analyst to join the Commercial division. You will partner with the Senior FP&A Manager and Finance Business Partners to deliver financial analysis, planning support, and performance insights for the UK Manufacturing division, enabling robust financial operations worldwide.

This role emphasizes budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis and developing models and dashboards to drive efficiency and automation within FP&A. On-site at Lomondgate.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent).
• Experience in FP&A, management accounting or commercial/operational finance.
• Strong financial modelling and budgeting/forecasting skills.
• Excellent communicator to explain financials to non-financial stakeholders.
• Advanced Excel; Power BI experience desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and 5-year planning cycles.
• Manage month-end close and produce management reports.
• Analyse manufacturing costs, KPIs, and identify risks and opportunities.
• Support working capital initiatives and evaluate capex proposals.
• Ensure strong controls and assist audits and VAT compliance.
• Develop FP&A models, reports, and dashboards to improve efficiency.

Bring your energy to Aggreko as a Financial Analyst based at our Lomondgate site in Dumbarton.

As a Financial Analyst, you will play a key role sitting within the Commercial division. You will partner closely with the Senior FP&A Manager and Finance Business Partners to deliver high-quality financial analysis, performance insights, and planning support, with a primary focus on our UK Manufacturing division. This role offers the opportunity to make a tangible difference by ensuring robust financial operations that support our global energy solutions.

What you'll do as a Financial Analyst:

• Lead financial planning cycles, including annual budgeting, quarterly forecasting, and 5-year strategic planning, ensuring robust assumptions and accurate product pricing.
• Manage the smooth month-end close process, prepare comprehensive management reports, and deliver insightful variance analysis and commentary for key financial metrics.
• Provide detailed analysis of manufacturing costs, performance, and key operational KPIs, identifying risks, opportunities, and trends for stakeholders.
• Actively support working capital initiatives and provide thorough financial evaluation, monitoring, and tracking of capital expenditure proposals and investments.
• Ensure a strong controls environment, assist with internal and external audit queries, and support tax and compliance submissions like VAT returns.
• Drive process and data improvement initiatives, developing financial models, reports, and dashboards to enhance efficiency and automation within FP&A.

You are:

• A qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
• Possessing proven experience in FP&A, management accounting, commercial finance or operational finance.
• Equipped with strong financial modelling and analytical skills, and a strong understanding of budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis.
• An excellent communicator with the ability to explain complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
• Highly proficient in Excel, with experience in Power BI being desirable.
• Able to analyse complex financial and operational data to identify key drivers and call-outs.
• Demonstrating strong attention to detail without losing sight of the wider business context.
• Experience working with manufacturing, operations or cost-based environments would be advantageous.
