Job summary

Cameron Clarke Associates t/a talent-finder is offering a Finance / Accounts Apprentice Level 2 in Nottingham. This 12–14 month apprenticeship combines practical accounting duties with the AAT qualification, under the guidance of seasoned finance professionals.

You will gain experience across the finance function, from invoices and ledgers to journal entries, while developing essential numeracy, communication and IT skills in a supportive team.

Qualifications

• GCSE or equivalent Grade 9-4 Maths
• GCSE or equivalent Grade 9-4 English
• Strong numerical and analytical skills
• Good attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent organisational skills
• Good communication skills, both written and verbal
• Competent in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
• A positive attitude and willingness to learn

Responsibilities

• Assist with processing supplier invoices and maintaining the Purchase Ledger
• Match purchase invoices to purchase orders and delivery notes
• Reconcile supplier statements and resolve invoice queries
• Support Credit Control activities, including contacting customers regarding outstanding invoices and maintaining accurate customer account records
• Post and process journal entries under supervision
• Provide general administrative support to the Finance team
• Ensure confidentiality and compliance with company financial procedures
• Undertaking any other reasonable duties required to support the Finance department

Finance / Accounts Assistant Apprentice (Level 2) | Bestwood Village, Nottingham | Full Time | £8.00 per hour | Monday-Friday, 9:00am-5:00pm | 12-14 Month Apprenticeship

The Role

Whilst undertaking the Finance / Accounts Assistant Level 2 Apprenticeship, you will work towards the AAT (Association of Accounting Technicians) qualification alongside your day-to-day responsibilities, developing the skills and knowledge required for a successful career in finance.

Key Responsibilities

The Accounts Apprentice will receive training and support in the following areas:
