Job summary

Severn Trent is hiring an Operational Technician to join the Waste Water Recycling team on a 12 month fixed term contract. The role covers the Lichfield and Tamworth area, with a company van provided and a full UK driving licence required.

You will carry out routine operational and maintenance tasks, take samples, analyse results and support site performance improvements. You will work 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with standby and call-out duties.

Qualifications

• Problem solving and proactive attitude to help improve site performance.
• Ability to work safely and follow health and safety standards at all times.
• Comfort with working alone and as part of a team across multiple sites.

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine operational and maintenance activities to keep wastewater works and pumping stations running smoothly.
• Take process samples, analyse results and record performance data.
• Respond to alarms and standby/on-call requirements, and support major capital projects when needed.
