Job summary

Severn Trent is seeking a Senior Technician for the Warwickshire Area to lead a high‑performing team across biosolids, sludge treatment and renewable energy generation. You will support the Team Manager, drive performance, ensure compliance, and develop capability within the Bioresources Operational Team.

You will work with regulatory standards, build relationships with growers and contractors, and help optimise assets across Finham and Hartshill sites.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel.
• Experience in supervisory or leadership role within an operational environment.
• Strong understanding of wastewater and sludge treatment processes.
• Experience overseeing contractors and supplier performance.
• Ability to manage health, safety, and high‑risk activities.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support team performance to meet KPIs, compliance and operational objectives.
• Deputise for the Team Manager, supporting day‑to‑day operations and asset maintenance.
• Champion health, safety and wellbeing, ensuring high standards across all activities.
• Ensure regulatory and permit compliance through assurance checks, audits and reviews.
• Develop strong, collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Support asset health and risk management across sites and programmes.
