Job summary

Safetykleen in Exeter is seeking a hands-on Field Waste Technician for a Monday to Friday day-shift role. You will travel to customer sites, collect and exchange non-hazardous to hazardous waste streams, and drive ADR licence development with full training provided.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence is essential.
• Class 2 (Category C) licence is required.
• You enjoy meeting customers and building relationships.
• Experience with CRM systems is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Complete 9–11 customer site visits per day, collecting and exchanging waste streams.
• Safely load and unload drums and containers onto and from your vehicle.
• Build positive relationships with customers across various industries.
• Work with the Branch Manager and customers to meet operational requirements.
• Use handheld tablets and CRM systems to manage daily route, service delivery and workload.

The Opportunity

Join our Exeterteam in a varied, hands-on role where no two days are the same. You'll spend your time out on the road, visiting a wide range of customers and building strong relationships along the way.

Supported by a dedicated local branch team, you'll safely collect and exchange non-hazardous, low-hazardous and hazardous waste streams, while delivering a professional and friendly service. Your work will help our customers stay compliant while contributing to a safer, cleaner environment.

No previous waste industry experience? No problem. We provide full training and will support you in working towards your ADR licence as you develop in the role.

• Salary £32,600.


• 6 month contract with the opportunity to go permanent.

Job Role

What We’re Looking For

• A full, clean UK driving licence.


• A valid Class 2 (Category C) driving licence.


• Someone who enjoys being on the road, meeting customers and building trusted relationships.


• Strong communication skills and a customer-focused approach.


• Waste industry experience is not essential - full training will be provided.
