Job summary

AWD online is seeking a Site Technician to perform on-site load and structural testing, set up specialist equipment, and document results. The role requires practical engineering experience and willingness to travel nationwide, with training provided as needed.

You will work across diverse projects, from laboratories in Ellesmere Port to client sites, supporting prime contractors and major brands. A UK driving licence and commitment to safety are essential.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in load or structural testing and related engineering support.
• Comfort with fault finding and practical problem solving on site.
• Knowledge of health and safety procedures in industrial settings.
• Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Ability to travel nationwide and work independently or in a team.

Responsibilities

• Carry out on-site load testing and structural testing across projects.
• Install, assemble and prepare testing equipment and monitoring devices.
• Lead product testing, commissioning activities and inspections.
• Record, analyse and document test results for clients.
• Assist troubleshooting and corrective actions during testing.
• Maintain equipment and ensure safety compliance on site.
• Produce accurate site records and daily activity logs.
• Collaborate with technicians and subcontractors to deliver projects.
