Job summary

AWD online in Ellesmere Port is seeking a Site Technician to join a growing team delivering specialist testing and site-based engineering services nationwide, with some work at the Ellesmere Port laboratory.

Responsibilities include leading testing operations, equipment setup, data recording, and producing high-quality technical reports for clients. Essential travel, a full UK driving licence, and strong HSE knowledge are required.

Qualifications

• GCSEs in English, Mathematics and Science are required.
• Minimum NVQ Level 3 in Construction or Engineering, or equivalent.
• Experience in load testing, site engineering, structural testing or engineering support environments.
• Experience with testing equipment, fault finding and technical problem solving.
• Knowledge of health and safety procedures in construction, engineering or industrial environments.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Ability to travel nationwide and work flexible hours.

Responsibilities

• Carry out on-site load testing and structural testing across projects.
• Install, assemble and prepare testing equipment and monitoring devices.
• Lead product testing, commissioning activities and engineering inspections on site and in laboratory environments.
• Record, analyse and document test results and prepare technical reports for clients.
• Identify equipment issues and support troubleshooting during testing work.
• Communicate with clients and site teams to support project delivery.
• Maintain and service testing equipment to support readiness and compliance.
• Follow RAMS and site safety regulations at all times.
• Complete accurate site records, test documentation and daily activity logs.
