Job summary

Simtec Materials Testing Ltd in the UK is seeking a dynamic Materials Site Technician to join our team, conducting on-site material testing, inspections, and quality assurance to meet project specifications and safety standards.

You will travel to multiple sites, document results, report findings to the project team, and work with managers, engineers, and site personnel. Full training is provided with opportunities for career progression.

Qualifications

• Experience in construction materials testing preferred but training provided.
• Ability to lift and carry equipment and work in varying weather conditions.
• Willingness to travel frequently and adapt to different site environments.
• Strong attention to detail and good communication with team members.

Responsibilities

• On-Site Material Testing: perform field testing of concrete, soil, aggregates and asphalt.
• Quality Assurance: monitor materials delivered to sites against project specs.
• Documentation and Reporting: record test results and prepare reports for the team.
• Travel: regular travel to multiple job sites, with overnight stays as needed.
• Collaboration: work with project managers, engineers and site staff to support projects.
• Safety Compliance: follow safety guidelines to maintain a safe work environment.
