Radio Technician - North London

Embark on an exciting journey with our multiskilled Radio and TV Broadcast Engineering Team. Your role involves fault-finding, maintenance, and support for DAB, FM/AM Radio, and Freeview Television systems, crucial for societal communication and entertainment. You will ensure these systems operate seamlessly.

Location: Based in North London, with travel to sites in Essex, Chelmsford, Stevenage, Luton, Cambridge, and Peterborough.

Total Package:

• Up to £34,000 base salary
• 5% Shift Allowance
• Paid Overtime

Key Responsibilities:

• Participate in an on-call rota for fault response
• Perform planned maintenance on systems like DAB, FM, AM
• Respond to faults, outages, and perform corrective maintenance
• Support upgrades/modifications of RF systems and networks
• Maintain records and documentation
• Conduct testing to meet regulatory and industry standards
• Engage with customers and build relationships
• Potential career growth to become an engineer

Preferred Experience:

• Clean driving license
• Knowledge of broadcast, IP network, IoT, or related software/hardware
• Understanding of RF systems, DVB, Analogue Radio, DAB, Microwaves, Sat Comms, Data Networks, Telecoms
• Knowledge of power supplies, environmental controls, electronics
• Understanding of safety, health, and environment legislation
• Willingness to work away from home
