Job summary

Power Electrics is looking for a Technical Support Engineer to provide engineering support across our UK depot network and customer sites. You will diagnose faults, assist with commissioning, repairs and upgrades, and support major projects while working with the wider Technical Support Team.

Based in Wolverhampton, you will visit customer sites, train engineers and customers, and contribute to the continued development of our modern rental fleet.

Qualifications

• Qualification in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or equivalent (City & Guilds, BTEC, etc.).
• Apprenticeship in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering acceptable; Electrical bias preferred.
• Experience servicing and repairing generator sets (FG Wilson, Cummins, etc.) is essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to Power Electrics depots and customers.
• Diagnose and resolve generator and electrical faults.
• Carry out commissioning, repairs, upgrades and modifications to rental equipment, including Stage V generators.
• Attend customer sites to provide technical support, commissioning and site surveys.
• Support technical training and mentoring to engineers and customers.
• Support major projects, product introductions and technical investigations.
• Work from Power Electrics depots when not attending customer sites.
• Comply with Company Health & Safety.
