Job summary

Power Electrics is seeking an engineer to join its Technical Support Team in the UK. You will diagnose faults on generator sets, carry out commissioning and repairs, and support customer sites with technical escalation and surveys.

Role involves training, project support, and working from depots when not on client visits; a full driving licence is essential and an Electrical bias is preferred.

Qualifications

• Possess a relevant qualification in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering/Diesel Fitting/Plant (City & Guilds, BTEC or equivalent).
• Or have served/completed an approved apprenticeship in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering. Electrical bias preferred.
• Or proven experience servicing and repairing generator sets (FG Wilson, Cummins, etc.).
• Full Driving Licence is ESSENTIAL.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to Power Electrics depots and customers.
• Diagnose and resolve generator and electrical faults.
• Carry out commissioning, repairs, upgrades and modifications to rental equipment, including Stage V generators.
• Attend customer sites to provide technical support, commissioning and site surveys.
• Support technical training and mentoring to engineers and customers.
• Support major projects, product introductions and technical investigations.
• Work from Power Electrics depots when not attending customer sites.
