Job summary

Voyage Care is seeking a Field Support Supervisor for our Clacton on Sea services. You will lead a compassionate team and ensure the highest standards of care across the service.

You will develop person-centred support plans, perform care needs assessments, mentor staff, and contribute to service improvements while upholding safeguarding and quality outcomes. DBS checks apply, with on-call duties as needed.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a supervisory or care management role.
• Level 3 Diploma in Health & Social Care (or equivalent).
• Experience supporting individuals with autism, learning disabilities, or complex needs.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and support a team of care colleagues.
• Develop and implement person-centred support plans.
• Conduct care needs assessments and inductions.
• Provide mentoring and supervise new team members.
• Carry out supervisions, appraisals and competency checks.
• Participate in medication competencies and audits.
• Attend multi-disciplinary meetings and liaise with professionals.
• Maintain accurate records and daily service reports.
• Support day-to-day service operations with the management team.
• Spend time with people we support to help them achieve goals.

About the Role

We are currently looking for a passionate and dedicated Field Support Supervisor to join our friendly and supportive team at our Clacton on sea services.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced care professional who is passionate about making a real difference to people's lives. You'll play a key role in supporting both the people we support and the colleagues who deliver outstanding care every day.

As a Field Support Supervisor, you'll work closely with the management team to ensure the highest standards of care and support are maintained across the service.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Supporting and leading a team of care colleagues
• Developing and implementing person-centred support plans
• Conducting care needs assessments
• Inducting, mentoring and supporting new team members
• Completing supervisions, appraisals and competency assessments
• Undertaking medication competencies and medication audits
• Attending multi-disciplinary meetings and liaising with professionals
• Completing reports and maintaining accurate records
• Supporting the day-to-day running of the service alongside the management team
• Regularly spending time with the people we support to ensure they are achieving their goals and living fulfilling lives

You may also be required to participate in the on-call rota, subject to the needs of the service.

What We're Looking For

We're looking for someone with both the right experience and the right values.

Ideally, you will have:

• Previous experience in a supervisory or care management role
• Level 3 Diploma in Health & Social Care (or equivalent)
• Experience supporting individuals with:
  • Autism
  • Learning disabilities
  • Complex mental health needs
  • Acquired brain injuries
  • Challenging behaviours
  • Traumatic backgrounds
