Job summary

Honeywell seeks a Smart Meter Engineer to provide technical support and service maintenance of smart metering and AMI at customer sites in central belt Scotland, with occasional travel across Scotland. The role focuses on understanding client requirements and delivering Honeywell solutions to enhance safety, efficiency, and sustainability.

• Proven experience in a field-based engineering, technical support, or maintenance role.
• Excellent customer-facing and relationship-building skills.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
• Hands-on, self-motivated engineer with a proactive attitude.
• Strong communication and IT skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support, training, and workshops to customers on operation, maintenance, and optimisation of smart water metering solutions.
• Deliver second-line technical support by investigating and resolving smart metering and AMI incidents, remotely and in the field.
• Collaborate with production, logistics, and third-party technology providers to configure, deploy, and deliver metering equipment.
• Support testing, pilot installations, proof-of-concept projects, and end-to-end solution validation for customer approval.
• Contribute to continuous product improvement by providing technical feedback and staying informed of industry developments.
