Job summary

S1jobs is seeking a Field Operations Officer to manage day-to-day site operations, maximise generation and minimise downtime. The role involves acting as the on-site ambassador, liaising with landowners and project stakeholders, and delivering toolbox talks while ensuring strict health, safety, and environmental standards are met.

The candidate will travel between locations, maintain detailed records, and supervise contractors to ensure works are performed safely and to quality standards.

Qualifications

• Understanding of health & safety and environmental compliance.
• Experience in facilities management or industrial maintenance.
• Experience using non-specialist light-duty power and hand tools.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with fluency in English.
• Proficient use of Windows based IT systems and basic office software (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Effective time-management skills and ability to manage multiple projects.
• Ability to create and maintain high quality, detailed records of work undertaken and planned.
• HND or equivalent qualification.
• Full, current driving licence valid for driving in the UK.
• Willingness to travel regularly between locations.

Responsibilities

• Facilitating site access and delivering toolbox talks as required.
• Maintaining health, safety and environmental practices across sites.
• Conducting regular site inspections and maintaining records.
• Monitoring site status and addressing operational issues.
• Providing regular reports on completed and scheduled works.
• Inspecting third-party contractors for safety compliance.
• Maintaining site facilities, including security and safety systems.
• Keeping accurate site logs and documentation.
• Undertaking minor maintenance tasks and upkeep.
