Job summary

A leading engineering service provider in Daventry is seeking a field-based professional to service and maintain industrial equipment including energy storage systems and generators. The ideal candidate will possess strong skills in diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults, along with excellent interpersonal abilities. Job description

To contribute to the profitability of our business by providing professional and efficient service of industrial equipment. You will report to the Service Operations Manager and provide service and maintenance on customers' machines. This is a field-based role covering a patch. You will be remote with a dedicated territory.

Your responsibilities are:

  • Promptly carry out servicing and maintenance on BESS (Energy storage systems), Generators, Portable air compressors and pumps
  • Effectively diagnose mechanical and electrical faults on customer equipment, field and workshop-based.
  • Carry out PDI and commissioning of new equipment.
  • Identify required parts to effect repairs.
  • Complete job reports correctly and return them promptly.
  • Required, to plan and organise daily and weekly visit schedules.
  • Be aware of, and apply, Health and Safety regulations in the workshop and on-site.
  • Always apply good standards of engineering practice.
  • Maintain test instruments, to ensure they remain in good condition.
  • Perform related responsibilities as required.
  • You will have current experience of repairing and servicing at least some of the following equipment:
  • Energy Storage solutions
  • Generators
  • Battery expert
  • Portable Air Compressors
  • Pumps
  • You will have a good knowledge of the construction industry,
  • You have strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate with our teams and external partners.
  • You are customer-focused and take ownership of meeting the customer's needs.
  • You can work both individually and be a valuable member of a team.
  • You are enthusiastic and passionate, but you still work systematically and are focusing on delivering quality and results.
  • You have a PC literate and hold a clean driving licence.
  • You are fluent in English, as this is our internal language.
