Job summary

Atlas Copco Power Technique seeks a Field Service Engineer to service portable air compressors, energy storage systems, generators, pumps and lighting towers across the North of England and Scotland.

You will diagnose faults, perform commissioning, maintain safety standards and promote Atlas Copco brand while delivering high-quality customer service on site.

Qualifications

• Experience repairing and servicing equipment such as energy storage, generators, portable compressors and pumps.
• Good knowledge of the construction industry and ability to work independently or in a team.
• Excellent interpersonal skills as you will be customer-facing.
• Solid PC skills including Microsoft 365.
• Full clean driving licence and right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Carry out servicing and maintenance on Portable air compressors, Energy storage systems, Generators, pumps and handheld equipment.
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults on customer equipment at locations mainly in the northern part of England and Scotland.
• Carry out PDI and commissioning of new equipment.
• Identify required parts to effect repairs and complete job reports promptly.
• Coordinate with Service planner to plan daily/weekly visit schedules.
• Adhere to Health and Safety regulations on customer sites/workshops.

The Role

To contribute to the profitability of the company’s business by providing professional and efficient service of Atlas Copco’s Power Technique Equipment. Reporting to the Power Technique Service Operations Manager and responsible for providing service & maintenance on customers' machines. Your responsibilities will include:

Main Responsibilities

• To promptly carry out servicing and maintenance on Portable air compressors, Energy storage systems, Generators, pumps and handheld equipment
• To effectively diagnose mechanical and electrical faults on customer equipment at different locations mainly in the northern part of England and Scotland.
• To carry out PDI and commissioning of new equipment.
• To identify required parts to effect repairs.
• To complete job reports correctly and return them in a timely manner.
• To coordinate with the Service planner to plan and organise daily and weekly visit schedules.
• To be aware of, and strictly apply, Health and Safety regulations on customer sites/workshops.
• To always apply good standards of engineering practice.
• To maintain test instruments, to ensure they remain in good condition.
• To effectively promote the Atlas Copco Power Technique company image.
• To perform related duties as required.

To Succeed, You Will Need

• You will have current experience of repairing and servicing at least some of the following equipment:
  • Energy Storage solutions
  • Generators
  • Battery expert
  • Portable Air Compressors
  • Pumps
  • Lighting Tower
• You will possess a good knowledge of the construction industry, be self-motivated, and be able to work individually and as part of a team.
• As you are customer-facing you will have excellent interpersonal skills
• Have a good level of PC knowledge including Microsoft 365 application
• Goal-focused mindset, focusing on achieving targets and maintaining effectiveness
• You have your customers' perspective in focus and you know how to engage them in your ideas.
• A full clean driving licence and right to work in the UK are essential for this role.

Location:

You will cover the North region so will ideally be located within that region
