Job Summary

The role of a Field Services Engineer is to diagnose and repair technical issues on a variety of IT equipment including but not limited to PCs, laptops, tablets, printers, peripherals and point of sales systems at various customer locations around Cardiff, Wales. Additionally, The Field Services Engineer will be responsible for providing IT Hardware Support, for Installs Moves and Changes across client sites.

Salary and Benefits

Base salary between £27,000 to £29,000 (depending on experience), company car, fuel card

Fixed Term Contract - 12 Months

Key responsibilities

• Travel between customer sites to provide IT Support Services
• Support for IT equipment including PCs, laptops, tablets, printers, peripherals, and POS systems
• Perform on-site installations and troubleshooting
• Obtain/maintain vendor certifications as required
• Follow documented procedures and provide feedback for improvement
• Adhere to safety and ESD precautions
• Complete documentation and provide updates for each site visit
• Participate in on-call rota (mornings, evenings, weekends, allowances apply)
• Support wider teams within the department
• Work overtime as needed with overtime rates

Qualifications, Skills & Experience

• Experience with installing, troubleshooting, and fixing hardware devices
• Ability to install and configure software
• Relevant vendor certifications (Dell, Lenovo, IBM, HP)
• Understanding of hardware maintenance/break-fix
• Full UK Driving Licence
• UK security clearances (SC, NPPV3) as required
