Job summary

Ernest Gordon Recruitment is seeking a Field Service Technician (Mechanical / Hydraulic) based in Worcester. The role involves installing, servicing and repairing recycling equipment across the UK and Ireland, with 95% field-based work and travel to sites.

Full training will be provided, with hotel and meal allowances where needed. You will diagnose faults across mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical systems and attend the office weekly to collect stock.

Qualifications

• Experience in field-based engineering roles.
• Strong mechanical and hydraulic knowledge.
• Full UK driving licence.

Field Service Technician (Mechanical / Hydraulic)

Are you a Field Service Engineer from a mechanical background, with good hydraulic knowledge, looking to join a family‑run manufacturer that provides excellent training and regular travel across the UK?

The company on offer specialise in the manufacture, installation and service of automotive recycling equipment. This includes depollution systems and dismantling equipment.

Your role will be 95% field based, travelling to sites across the UK and Ireland. You will install, service, maintain and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical recycling equipment. Travel to office once a week will be required to collect stock.

Hotels and meal allowances will be provided where needed. Full training on all products will be given, additionally training on compressors and vehicle lifts can be arranged.

The suitable candidate will be a Mobile Engineer, who is proficient in mechanical and hydraulic systems.

The Role

• Installation, servicing, maintenance and repair of automotive recycling equipment
• Diagnose faults across mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems
• Travelling to sites across the UK and Ireland
• Attending office once a week to collect stock
• Monday to Thursday, 8 - 5

The Person

• Experience in a field-based engineering position
• Strong mechanical and hydraulic knowledge
• Full UK driving license
