Talentmark are recruiting for a Field Service Engineer to join a recycling solutions company on a permanent basis. The ideal candidate will be based in Oxford or Reading with flexibility to travel across the UK.

You will install and service waste recycling equipment, perform preventative maintenance, and react to breakdowns to meet SLAs. This mobile field role requires strong fault-finding in hydraulic/electrical systems and the ability to read installation drawings.

Qualifications

• Time served engineer with proven mobile field experience.
• Background in heavy/industrial environments; experience in waste or recycling equipment is advantageous.
• Strong hydraulic fault-finding skills; able to read electrical and hydraulic schematics.
• Able to interpret installation drawings; PLC knowledge desirable.
• Confident in client-facing roles with good communication.
• 17th Edition Electrical qualification desirable.
• Full UK driving licence with no more than 6 penalty points.

Responsibilities

• Installation and commissioning of waste recycling equipment at client facilities.
• Planned maintenance and reactive breakdowns aligned with SLAs.
• Warranty repairs, accurate attendance reports, and job documentation.
• Participation in an on-call weekend rota (1 in 4 weekends).
• Maintain van stock levels and adhere to health and safety policies.

Talentmark are recruiting for a Field Service Engineers to join a recycling solutions company on a permanent basis.

Salary: Competitive depending on experience, plus company work van, tools, workwear, and fuel card.

Location: The ideal candidate for this role will be based in and around the Oxford or Reading area with flexibility to travel across the UK as required.

As a Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for the install, reactive repairs, and planned maintenance on equipment within the recycling industry.

This role will be ideally suited to an experienced Engineer from a heavy industrial machinery background, who enjoys working independently and out in the field in a mobile role.

Key duties will include:

• Installation and commissioning of waste recycling equipment at client facilities.
• Planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and attending reactive breakdowns in line with company service level agreements.
• Perform warranty repairs, maintain accurate attendance reports, and manage job documentation.
• Participate in an on-call weekend rota (1 in 4 weekends) to support urgent customer needs.
• Maintain accurate van stock levels and strictly adhere to company health and safety policies.

Your Background and Skills:

• Time served engineer with proven mobile field experience.
• Background working in heavy/industrial environments; direct experience in waste or recycling equipment is an advantage.
• Strong hydraulic fault-finding skills with the ability to read electrical and hydraulic schematics.
• Ability to interpret installation documentation drawings. Knowledge of PLCs is desirable.
• Confidence working in client-facing environments with good communication skills.
