Job summary

Demob Job Ltd is recruiting for an Engineering Technician to join the Northwest team. The role involves servicing, maintaining and repairing gas engines, generators and related equipment across regional sites with occasional overnight stays.

Ideal candidates have a mechanical engineering background with electrical maintenance experience and a valid UK driving licence. The position offers a 40-hour week, overtime and a comprehensive benefits package, including training and career development.

Qualifications

• Mechanical engineering background with electrical experience.
• Experience in servicing, maintenance, fault diagnosis and repairs.
• Experience with engines, generators or CHP equipment advantageous.
• Ability to work independently and manage workload.
• Willingness to work overtime and participate in call-out rota with very occasional overnight stays.
• IT literacy and a full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned servicing, maintenance and repairs on gas engines, generators and associated mechanical and electrical equipment.
• Diagnose and rectify faults, responding to breakdowns to minimise equipment downtime.
• Support Operations Technicians during servicing and provide guidance on routine maintenance and fault finding.
• Assist with the installation and commissioning of equipment.
• Maintain accurate service records, order spare parts and monitor stock levels.
• Join the emergency call out rota following training, currently one week in six.
