Job summary

Edina is recruiting for an Operations Engineer to join the Rebuild Team, focusing on gas and diesel engine maintenance within the renewable energy sector across Great Britain.

The role includes fault finding, maintenance planning, and working on customer sites. A mechanical or electrical qualification with ≥3 years’ experience is required, plus a full UK driving licence and willingness to travel up to two weeks at a time.

Qualifications

• Mechanical or electrical engineering qualification (ONC/HNC, NVQ Level 2, City & Guilds or equivalent).
• Minimum 3 years' experience in a mechanical or electrical engineering role.
• Strong knowledge of gas and/or diesel engines.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Willingness to travel and work away from home up to two weeks at a time.

Responsibilities

• Service, maintenance and repairs on gas and diesel engines.
• Fault finding and troubleshooting on power generation equipment.
• Planning maintenance, parts and resources to ensure efficient repairs.
• Working on customer sites across Great Britain.
• Participating in an on-call rota and attending breakdowns.
• Completing service reports and maintaining health and safety standards.
