Job summary

Demob Job Ltd is recruiting on behalf of an established renewable energy and power generation company for an Engineering Technician to join the Northwest team. You will travel from home to sites to service, maintain, fault-diagnose and repair gas engines and associated electrical equipment.

The role offers a 40-hour week, overtime, call-out rota, and comprehensive training, with support for transitioning from the Armed Forces.

Qualifications

• Mechanical background with electrical experience.
• Practical servicing, maintenance, fault diagnosis and repairs.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned servicing, maintenance and repairs on gas engines, generators and associated mechanical and electrical equipment.
• Diagnose and rectify faults, responding to breakdowns to minimise equipment downtime.
• Support Operations Technicians during servicing and provide guidance on routine maintenance and fault finding.
• Assist with the installation and commissioning of equipment.
• Maintain accurate service records, order spare parts and monitor stock levels.
• Join the emergency call out rota following training, currently one week in six.
