Mettler Toledo UK is seeking a hands‑on Field Service Technician to service, calibrate and install laboratory and industrial equipment across customer sites in the UK. You will work directly with customers, ensuring peak equipment performance and compliance with GMP and quality standards.

The role is field‑based with regular travel, requiring strong fault‑finding skills and clear technical communication. A full UK driving licence is essential, and ongoing training is provided to support your

Qualifications

• Ongoing technical training provided.
• Qualification in an engineering, scientific or relevant technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience working with laboratory equipment in a technical role.
• Strong fault‑finding and troubleshooting abilities.
• Excellent communication skills with customers.
• Strong organisational and time‑management skills.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel regularly.

Responsibilities

• Service, calibrate, install and troubleshoot equipment at customer sites.
• Diagnose, repair faults efficiently and maximise uptime.
• Install, commission and qualify new equipment at customer sites.

The Role As a Field Service Technician, you will be responsible for servicing, calibrating, installing, and troubleshooting a range of laboratory and industrial equipment at customer sites. You will work directly with customers, providing expert technical support while ensuring equipment performance, accuracy, and compliance with industry standards. This is a field‑based role covering an assigned territory. Key Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

• Service, maintain and calibrate customer equipment to maximise uptime and performance.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot and repair equipment faults efficiently.
• Install, commission and qualify new equipment at customer sites.
• Complete service reports and documentation accurately in line with GMP and quality standards.
• Deliver outstanding customer service and build trusted advisor relationships.
• Ensure compliance with quality, health & safety, ISO9001 and GxP requirements.
• Identify opportunities to support business growth through customer engagement.

Qualifications

• Continuously develop technical knowledge and skills through ongoing training.
• Qualification in an engineering, scientific or relevant technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience working with laboratory equipment in a technical role, such as Laboratory Technician, Field Service Engineer, Service Technician, or Analytical Instrument Engineer.
• Strong fault‑finding and troubleshooting abilities.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to customers.
• Strong organisational and time‑management skills.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel regularly.
