Job summary

Culligan is seeking a motivated Field Service Technician to maintain and repair water treatment systems at customer sites in the Edinburgh area. You will install, troubleshoot, and service equipment, while maintaining records and providing excellent customer service.

The role offers training, a company van with private use option, and progression opportunities within a supportive field operations team.

Qualifications

• Experience in plumbing or electrical fields preferred, but full training will be provided.
• Full and valid UK driving license (6 points max).
• Ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues.
• Strong DIY skills and experience using power tools.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Carry out regular maintenance and repairs on water treatment systems.
• Install and troubleshoot equipment directly at clients' locations.
• Oversee service schedules to minimize downtime for customers.
• Keep precise records of service visits and communicate issues or suggestions.
• Engage with customers to understand their needs and deliver outstanding service.
• Weekly visits to the Service Centre to replenish parts and supplies.

Hours of Work: Monday-Friday 8:30am-5:00pm

Core Role & Responsibilities:

• Carry out regular maintenance and repairs on water treatment systems.
• Handle the installation and troubleshooting of equipment directly at clients' locations.
• Efficiently oversee service schedules to reduce downtime for our customers.
• Keep precise records of service visits and communicate any issues or suggestions.
• Engage with customers to grasp their needs and deliver outstanding customer service
• Weekly visits to the designated Service Centre to replenish parts and supplies.

• Proven experience in plumbing or electrical fields preferred, but full training will be provided.
• A full and valid driving license with a maximum of 6 points.
• Ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues effectively.
• Strong DIY skills and experience using power tools.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to build rapport with customers.
