Job summary

Stannah Group in Glasgow is seeking a Field Service Manager to lead the Branch Business Plan, oversee PPM performance, LOLER defect management, call‑out response, and first‑time fix rates while driving margin and service quality.

You will manage field engineers and subcontractors, emphasise HSE, people development, customer satisfaction and risk management, with travel across Scotland and a full UK driving licence. Excellent communication and leadership skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working within the lift industry or similar service industry with transferable skills is essential.
• NVQ Level 3 Lift Engineering is a key qualification for this role.
• Relevant technical or management qualifications would be desirable.

• Manage absence, performance, and appraisals for the team.
• Ensure compliance with all Health and Safety procedures. Conduct risk assessments and method statements
• Carry out regular site monitoring

This is a great opportunity for an experienced Engineer ready to step into a management role or an experienced manger to inspire a team to deliver exceptional service aligned with our values and safety standards.

As Field Service Manager, you’ll lead the delivery of the Branch Business Plan—overseeing PPM performance, LOLER defect management, call‑out responsiveness, first‑time fix rates and overall margin contribution. You’ll champion our company values and ensure our service delivery consistently reflects our commitment to quality and operational excellence.

You’ll manage and support our Field workforce and subcontractors, with Health and Safety, people development, customer satisfaction, operational efficiency and risk management at the core of your approach. Strong communication skills are essential, as you’ll work closely with colleagues across all levels of the organisation and convey complex technical information clearly and confidently.

The successful candidate will be based at our Glasgow Service Branch, with travel across Scotland to be expected, so a full UK driving licence is essential.

Working hours:

Monday -Thursday 8am till 4.45pm, Friday 8am till 3.45pm
