Job Description
Clean Harbors in Seymour, CT is seeking a Field Service Foreperson to join our safety-conscious team. This position will be responsible for supervising Field Technicians and overseeing tasks related to emergency response (spill cleanup), hazardous waste clean-up, site remediation, equipment decontamination, and handling hazardous materials. The projected first-year income with overtime is $60-70K.

Key Requirements
- Prioritize health and safety by following policies and acting safely.
- Train and mentor Field Service Technicians.
- Complete projects on time and within budget.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and H&S standards.
- Coordinate manpower, equipment, and resources for projects.
- Manage large-scale projects when directed.
- Perform strenuous physical labor, including lifting and pulling heavy objects.
- Operate equipment and tools safely.
- Use PPE properly, including respirators and protective gear.
- Work in various weather conditions and environments, including confined spaces and at heights.
- Assist in sampling activities and meter calibration.
- Perform inspections and handle hazardous and non-hazardous waste safely.
- Complete necessary paperwork and comply with all regulations.
- Operate vehicles following DOT and local requirements.
- Be on call for emergency response on a rotating basis.
- Potentially perform lead responsibilities depending on the position.
Required Qualifications
- Experience in physically demanding roles.
- Leadership or supervisory experience.
- Ability to travel overnight.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Ability to pass background checks, drug tests, and physicals.
- Meet OSHA respirator standards if applicable.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with heavy equipment (e.g., bobcats, excavators).
- Environmental or industrial experience (site remediation, spill response, etc.).
- Commercial driver license.
