Job summary

United Utilities is seeking a hands-on Electrical Field Service Engineer to join our production team at Hurleston, Nantwich. You will maintain, fault-find and improve critical water assets, supporting automation and contractor works while ensuring safety and reliability.

The role starts with a home-based approach, using a company van for site travel, and includes a 37-hour week, standby rota, and clear development opportunities within UU's long-term stability.

Qualifications

• Industrial electrical maintenance and fault finding.
• Pumps installation, maintenance, fault diagnosis and repair.
• Working with 400V three-phase systems on motors and starters.
• Control panels fault finding, modification and wiring understanding.
• Exposure to automated plant or process control systems.
• Experience working with electrical contractors in industrial/utilities settings.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance and reactive electrical works.
• Diagnose and repair electrical faults to minimise downtime and improve reliability.
• Work on a range of industrial electrical systems across sites.
• Support capital and operational project work.
• Work safely in confined spaces and high-risk environments.
• Collaborate with internal teams and electrical contractors.
• Record maintenance activities accurately and follow safety procedures.
• Participate in standby rota and standby payments where applicable.
