Alexander James Recruiting is partnering with a well-established material handling company to recruit a field-based forklift service engineer to service client sites across Oxfordshire and surrounding areas.

The role offers a competitive salary with overtime, a company van and a range of benefits. The ideal candidate has engineering experience in materials handling, hydraulics knowledge preferred, and the ability to work independently.

Qualifications

• Strong background in engineering within the Material Handling industry is preferred.
• Open to candidates from Agriculture, Construction, Commercial Vehicles or Automotive.
• Knowledge of hydraulics is advantageous; ability to work on own initiative.

Responsibilities

• Servicing a client base across Oxfordshire & surrounding areas focusing on a fleet of specialist forklift trucks.
• Reporting to the Service Manager to ensure all equipment servicing is carried out efficiently.
• Working alongside the engineering team to maintain a high level of customer service.
• Developing knowledge of the company’s customer base and representing the company on customer sites.
• Attending the workshop from time to time and occasionally working on call.

Alexander James Recruiting is currently working with a well-established, expanding material handling company looking to recruit a new field-based forklift service engineer to service their client base across Oxfordshire and the surrounding areas. Responsibilities

• Servicing a client base across Oxfordshire & the surrounding areas with a focus on servicing a fleet of specialist forklift trucks
• Reporting to the Service Manager to ensure all equipment servicing is carried out efficiently
• Working alongside the rest of the engineering team to maintain a high level of customer service
• Developing a knowledge of the company’s customer base and representing the company in the right manner when attending customer site
• Attending the workshop from time to time and occasionally working on call

Requirements

The successful candidate will ideally have a strong background in engineering within the Material Handling industry, but this is not essential. They would also be open to candidates with backgrounds in Agriculture, Construction, Commercial Vehicles or Automotive. The company have a preference for candidates that have a strong understanding of hydraulics and are able to work well on their own initiative. In terms of location, you will be based in the Oxfordshire or reasonable commutable distance since the customers are based in this region with some requirements further afield.
