Alexander James Recruiting are partnering with a leading manufacturer of material handling equipment to appoint a Field Service Engineer to service their client base across Blackburn, Bolton and surrounding areas.

You will service forklift trucks and related equipment, travel to customer sites, with a company van provided and overtime opportunities. The role offers a competitive salary up to £48k and a strong pension scheme.

Qualifications

• Experience in the Material Handling industry preferred.
• Background in plant hire, powered access, commercial vehicles or Automotive also considered.
• Based in Blackburn, Bolton or surrounding areas.

Responsibilities

• Servicing a client base across Blackburn & Bolton with a focus on servicing forklift trucks.
• Fixing and servicing other, related material handling & specialist equipment to include side-loaders and industrial cleaning equipment.
• Ensuring excellent customer service and representing the company in the right way when visiting customer sites.
• Attending the workshop from time to time and occasionally working on call.
• Working closely with the team leaders and service managers within the region to ensure service is carried out efficiently.

Requirements

The company have a preference for an individual with experience within the Material Handling industry. However this isn’t essential, they would also be interested in speaking with candidates with a background in plant hire, powered access, commercial vehicles or Automotive. Another option the company would consider would be a recently qualified engineer looking to get into something long term and building a career. In terms of location, you will ideally be based in Blackburn, Bolton or the surrounding areas.
