Job summary

GEA is seeking a highly motivated Service Engineer to support maintenance of homogenisers and separation equipment across the United Kingdom. This field-based role requires safe, quality-focused, customer-oriented service, with the ability to work independently at customer sites and manage on-site safety.

Ideal candidates will hold City & Guilds in Mechanical Engineering, demonstrate strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills, and be willing to travel and participate in an on-call

Qualifications

• Qualified to a minimum City & Guilds standard in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent).
• Proven experience servicing industrial processing equipment in food, beverage, dairy, pharmaceutical, or process industries.
• Strong mechanical knowledge; electrical knowledge is advantageous.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, schematics and technical documentation.
• Solid understanding of health and safety practices in the workplace.
• Experience servicing high-pressure homogenisers (100–2000 bar).
• Full UK driving licence is required for this role.
• Must have a valid Right to Work in the UK; visa sponsorship not offered.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance and servicing of homogenisers and centrifugal separation equipment.
• Carry out planned maintenance contracts per standard procedures and customer requirements.
• Diagnose and rectify mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and process faults; respond to breakdowns.
• Provide technical advice and operational guidance to customers; identify service upgrade opportunities.
• Maintain health, safety and site procedures; complete risk assessments and documentation.
• Be available for overtime and occasional weekends; participate in regular team meetings.
