Advantest in Bristol is seeking a hands-on Field Service Engineer to support advanced semiconductor Automated Test Equipment (ATE) in customer sites. You will join an international team responsible for installation, calibration, and preventive maintenance of testers and handlers.

You will diagnose hardware/software faults, configure tester software, and work with customers to ensure reliable operation in production environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in Electronic or Electrical Engineering, or equivalent.
• Hands-on experience with semiconductor ATE equipment, testers and handlers.
• Strong ability to diagnose hardware and software faults.
• Knowledge of C++, scripting, and tester software/debugging tools.
• Experience with Linux (Red Hat), networks and MS Office.
• Excellent customer communication and teamwork.
• Valid driving licence.

Responsabilités

• Install, upgrade, calibrate and maintain semiconductor ATE equipment at customer sites.
• Diagnose and repair hardware and software faults to minimise downtime.
• Support ATE test cells, handlers and related equipment in production environments.
• Configure operating systems and tester software per customer requirements.
• Provide direct customer support and guidance on technical issues.
• Gather feedback for product improvements and future developments.
• Lead short-term technical projects and deliver results.
• Collaborate with international service colleagues.
