Job summary

TRS Consulting is seeking a Field Service Engineer to service, install, repair and calibrate Laboratory X-Ray systems across laboratories and pharmaceutical environments.

The ideal candidate will have a technical background in electronics with field service experience on high-value capital equipment and a customer-focused approach; full product training is provided.

Salary £45,000–£50,000 with 8–12% bonus, plus a company car, healthcare and contributory pension support.

Qualifications

• A background as a field service engineer or technical support engineer with experience on high-value capital equipment.
• Qualification in electronics is required or preferred.
• Experience with diagnostic systems, medical devices, laboratory systems, or scientific equipment is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Service, install, repair and calibrate laboratory X-ray systems.
• Work within laboratories and pharmaceutical environments to support equipment uptime.
• Provide on-site technical assistance and customer support to clients.

The Role

This market leader seeks to recruit a technically motivated and customer focused Field Service Engineer, responsible for the service, installation, breakdown repair and calibration of a wide range of sophisticated scientific and laboratory systems, utilised within laboratories and pharmaceutical environments.

Your Background

To succeed in this exciting role, you must be able to demonstrate:

• A competent background as a field service engineer or technical support engineer with extensive experience working on high value capital equipment and a qualification in electronics
• You may have experience of working on diagnostic systems, medical devices, laboratory systems, scientific equipment, pharmaceutical, semiconductor, pre-press, printing or high value electronic / electro-mechanical capital equipment
• Full product training will be provided, so whatever your background in field service and customer support, your application will be considered
