Job summary

MARCH is seeking a mechanically minded Service Engineer to join our growing team in the UK. You will service pumps, rotating equipment and other mechanical plant, diagnose faults and carry out maintenance activities across the country.

This role offers training and development within the compressed air industry, with responsibilities spanning installation, commissioning and customer support while maintaining high health & safety standards.

Qualifications

Experience working on pumps, rotating equipment, motors, gearboxes, compressors or similar mechanical equipment.
Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
Background in maintenance engineering, field service engineering, mechanical fitting or a similar technical role.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and maintenance documentation.
Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to equipment reliability.
Excellent communication and customer-facing skills.

Responsibilities

Carry out servicing, maintenance and repairs on compressed air systems and associated equipment.
Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults using a systematic fault-finding approach.
Investigate equipment failures and identify root causes to minimise downtime.
Perform preventative and reactive maintenance activities at customer sites.
Inspect pumps, motors, compressors, blowers, valves and other rotating equipment.
Complete equipment installations, upgrades and commissioning works.
Accurately complete service reports and maintenance documentation.
Provide technical support and recommendations to customers.
Ensure all work is completed in accordance with Health & Safety procedures.
Build and maintain strong working relationships with customers and colleagues.
