Job summary
Hitachi Energy is seeking a Field Service Engineer (Electrical) to support installation, testing and commissioning of large power transformers and associated equipment across the UK. You will work with a team of engineers delivering safe, high-quality service and customer satisfaction on site.
The role requires extensive travel, overnight stays and weekend work as part of project delivery, with opportunities to develop specialist expertise in the power industry while supporting critical
Qualifications
- Recognised electrical apprenticeship or NVQ 3 equivalent.
- 18th Edition BS7671 qualification is essential.
- Experience as Electrician or Field Service Engineer on transformers.
Responsibilities
- Install, route, gland and terminate LV cabling for transformers.
- Read electrical schematics and wiring diagrams on site.
- Perform testing, fault finding and commissioning of control systems.
- Lead site activities under Project Manager guidance.
- Maintain safety, quality records and service reports.
- Develop relationships with customers and identify service opportunities.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental rules.
- Travel across the UK with overnight stays as required.
