Job summary

Syntegon Technology Ltd. is seeking a Field Service Engineer to install, service and upgrade packaging equipment at customer sites across the UK and abroad.

You will work with cross-functional teams to maximize uptime, support production efficiency and ensure regulatory compliance. The role requires hands-on electrical/mechanical skills, apprenticeship background and 3+ years in packaging automation, with willingness to travel internationally and domestically.

Qualifications

• Apprenticeship in mechanics, precision mechanics, electrical engineering or mechatronics, or equivalent experience.
• At least 3 years in packaging industry or automated equipment; Advanced Training completed.
• Minimum 2 years of experience with PCs and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Install, startup, and modernize packaging equipment at customer sites.
• Troubleshoot, perform preventative maintenance, and provide on-site service.
• Provide training to customers on operation, updates, and safety of packaging machinery.
• Support continuous improvement opportunities and ensure customer satisfaction.
• Travel domestically and internationally as required.
