Job summary

APROLIS UK LIMITED is recruiting a field service engineer to diagnose faults, service and repair forklift equipment across customer sites. You will work under the local service manager and must communicate effectively with customers and colleagues.

You will perform preventive and corrective maintenance, prepare parts and tools, and complete service reports. The role requires travel and the ability to work independently, with a strong focus on safety and quality.

Qualifications

• In-depth professional knowledge in the mechanical, electrical, hydraulic fields
• Professional knowledge of products (ranges, functionalities)
• General knowledge of health, safety and environmental regulations
• Basic knowledge of IT tools and information systems
• Intermediate level of English (A2)

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine or complex diagnostics in collaboration with assistance technique
• Draw up lists of parts needed to complete the work
• Prepare work (parts, consumables, tools, etc.)
• Recommend repair solutions to customers and formalize the offer with internal and external stakeholders
• Perform a risk analysis prior to intervention
• Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance on equipment based on maintenance plans
• Ensure equipment is in good working order after intervention
• Understand and use technical documentation (manuals)
• Perform simple commissioning of equipment
• Determine the qualification of repair orders (billable, warranty, contract)
• Parameterize and calibrate hardware based on customer application
• Indicate opportunities for additional interventions in the business tool
• Complete the various business documents and tools relating to operations
• Report daily on activities to line management
• Occasionally provide back-up on another perimeter
