Job summary

phs Wastekit is seeking a skilled Field Service Engineer to service, maintain and repair recycling equipment across customer sites in the UK. The role combines reactive servicing with planned maintenance, delivering reliable operations for customers.

You will diagnose mechanical, electrical and hydraulic faults, plan daily workloads, and work closely with service controllers to meet SLAs. Travel to client sites, sometimes overnight, is required.

Qualifications

• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
• Ability to read hydraulic and electrical schematics.
• Sound knowledge of mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems.
• Experience using electrical and hydraulic testing equipment.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently.
• Customer-focused with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Servicing and maintaining balers, compactors and recycling equipment.

About The Role
Field Service Engineer

Are you an experienced Field Service Engineer with strong mechanical, hydraulic and electrical fault-finding skills? Do you enjoy solving technical problems and delivering excellent customer service?

At phs Wastekit, we're looking for a skilled and motivated Field Service Engineer to service, maintain and repair our recycling equipment across customer sites. Working both reactively and on planned maintenance schedules, you'll play a key role in helping our customers keep their operations running efficiently.

What You'll Be Doing

• Servicing and maintaining balers, compactors and recycling equipment.
• Diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical and hydraulic faults.
• Planning and managing your daily workload effectively.
• Working closely with service controllers and supervisors to deliver excellent customer service.
