Job summary

phs Wastekit is seeking a Field Service Engineer to service, maintain and repair recycling equipment across customer sites. You will diagnose faults, plan workloads and travel as required, ensuring customer sites run smoothly and safely.

With a base salary of £41,500 and an OTE of £45,000, the role offers strong earning potential, a 23-day holiday allowance, pension and life assurance, and development opportunities with ILM-accredited training.

Qualifications

• Experience fault-finding on mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems.
• Full UK driving licence is required.
• Ability to read hydraulic and electrical schematics.
• Experience using electrical and hydraulic testing equipment.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently.
• Customer-focused with a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Responsibilities

• Servicing and maintaining balers, compactors and recycling equipment.
• Diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical and hydraulic faults.
• Planning and managing your daily workload effectively.
• Working with service controllers and supervisors to deliver customer service.
• Meeting service level agreements and performance targets.
• Taking ownership of engineering issues through to resolution.
• Occasional travel outside your region, including overnight stays when required.
