TRS Consulting is seeking a technically motivated and customer focused Field Service Engineer to service and breakdown repair a wide range of sophisticated medical systems used in theatres, NHS departments and private healthcare environments.

The role involves visiting customer sites, delivering practical troubleshooting, and liaising with clinicians and laboratory staff, with a strong emphasis on service quality and patient safety.

Qualifications

• Background in field service or technical support within high-value electronic capital equipment
• Qualified to ONC/HNC level or above in electronics
• Impeccable customer service skills, IT interest, and confidence in customer-facing environments
• Applications from related electronic sectors such as AV, medical devices, biomedical engineering, and laboratory equipment are encouraged

Following expansion, they seek to recruit a technically motivated and customer focused Field Service Engineer, responsible for:

Responsibilities

• The service and breakdown repair on a wide range of sophisticated medical systems, utilised within theatres, NHS departments and private healthcare environments
• Visiting customer sites and providing customers with valuable solutions for troubleshooting
• Liaising with a whole host of external customer contacts, including clinicians from within the NHS and a range of private independent healthcare organisations and laboratories

Requirements

• Strong background working in a field service or technical support role, gained within a high value electronic capital equipment environment
• Qualified to a minimum ONC or HNC level or above in electronics or another relevant technical discipline
• Impeccable customer service skills, an interest in IT and the ability to remain confident in customer facing environments
• Applications are encouraged from field service engineers from a wide range of electronic sectors, including AV / audio-visual, medical device, biomedical engineering, laboratory device, surgical systems, print press, semi-conductor, ex Forces (Radar / Avionics / Weapons Systems, RAF, Royal Navy and REME and Biomedical Engineers), audio-visual systems, industrial / commercial imaging or other areas of electronic manufacturing
