About the job:
Are you a technically minded, service-oriented professional with experience supporting complex equipment in clinical or life sciences environments? Our client, a globally recognized medical technology company, is looking for a field-based Technical Service Engineer to support their expanding footprint across Ireland.
About the Role:
This is a hands-on technical role delivering installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting services for advanced medical systems. You'll be the primary field contact for customers in the region, ensuring equipment uptime, delivering a high level of customer satisfaction, and collaborating with internal teams to maintain service excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
· Install, maintain, and repair medical equipment
· Troubleshoot technical issues onsite and remotely
· Plan and manage your own field visits
· Support sales with contract renewals and upgrades
· Keep accurate service records
· Deliver a professional, customer-focused experience
· Travel within Ireland and abroad when needed
Qualifications & Experience:
· Technical or engineering background (degree or equivalent professional experience)
· Good experience in field-based service, ideally in medtech or diagnostics
· Strong customer communication and problem-solving skills
· Understanding of IT/networking (e.g. Windows, databases, remote access, VPNs)
· Fluent in English; additional language skills advantageous
· Physically capable of handling technical equipment on-site
· Valid driving license and readiness to comply with healthcare access requirements
