Job summary

Kägwerks is seeking a Field Service Engineer to support MANET systems in tough environments across the UK and internationally. You will integrate tactical radios, SDRs, edge compute platforms, and C5ISR components, delivering demonstrations, trials, deployments and training to military and government users.

You will diagnose, troubleshoot and optimise complex systems in field environments, translate operations into practical solutions, and work with product teams to resolve issues and support

Qualifications

• Practical experience with MANET and tactical radios.
• Experience in field service engineering or systems integration in defence sectors.

Responsibilities

• Integrate tactical radios, SDRs, edge compute platforms, sensors and C5ISR components.
• Deploy AI/ML-enabled products at the tactical edge.
• Conduct field demos, evaluations, trials and PoCs.
• Deliver operator and technical training to military and government personnel.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, network, and integration issues in field environments.
• Plan networks, configure systems, fault-find and optimise performance.
• Support tactical data distribution across RF and IP networks.
• Collaborate with Systems Engineering and Product teams to resolve issues.
• Capture end-user feedback and translate requirements into technical recommendations.
• Produce technical reports, test results and AARs.
• Provide technical support to BD/Sales during engagements and trials.
• Maintain knowledge of products, competitors and emerging C5ISR tech.
• Support deployments internationally as required.
