Job summary

Asahi Glassplant UK Ltd in Royston is seeking a UK Service Engineer to install systems, diagnose issues, and deliver high-quality repairs and upgrades, including warranty and non-warranty work. The role uses the Zoho support workflow to provide fast, practical answers and a great service experience, reporting to the UK Head of Engineering.

It is a hybrid position based mainly in Royston with travel to customer sites.

Qualifications

• Experience providing on-site field service and remote diagnostics.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot electrical/mechanical issues.
• Proven customer service orientation and clear communication.

Responsibilities

• Onsite installations and repairs for UK customers and remote commissioning as needed.
• Carry out servicing and repairs, ensuring health & safety compliance.
• Provide technical support via Zoho tickets and coordinate with teams.
• Lead larger installations and liaise with second installers when required.
• Contribute to knowledge base and product improvements.
