Job summary

TalentTech Recruitment Ltd. is searching for a Field Service Engineer to support the UK & Ireland market from Sheffield and surrounding areas. You’ll service and repair lab-style materials preparation equipment, performing ppm, breakdowns, and remote diagnostics where applicable.

Working Monday to Friday, ~37.5 hours, with about one night away per week. A strong mechanical/electrical background, driving licence, and right to work in the UK are essential; sponsorship is not provided.

Qualifications

• You’ll have a good engineering understanding from a mechanical and electrical perspective.
• This role would also suit an engineer from the armed forces.
• The service manager is ex-forces too.
• Existing field service experience is advantageous.
• Excellent communication & teamwork skills.
• A full UK driving licence.
• Right to work in the UK as no sponsorship provided.

Responsibilities

• Conducting ppm, service, and breakdown repairs to equipment found in materials testing and preparation labs.
• Being hands-on with mechanical and electrical equipment, along with some electronic fault-finding.
• Visiting some desirable manufacturing and research facilities.
• You'll be accessing some equipment remotely too to carry out diagnostics.
