Job summary

New Appointments Group is seeking a Field Service Engineer based in Wrexham or surrounding areas, with regular nationwide travel. This full-time role involves on-site servicing, inspections, installations and repairs across customer locations, and offers full training.

The role is hands-on, physically demanding at times, and requires someone reliable who can work independently on the road. A full UK driving licence is essential and prior engineering experience helps, but training is provided.

Responsibilities

• Visit customer sites, including schools, to carry out servicing and safety checks.
• Carry out minor repairs and adjustments, including replacing parts and maintaining moving mechanisms.
• Complete installations, repairs and servicing to a consistent standard.
• Identify faults and resolve issues efficiently while on-site.
• Complete service documentation and recording work carried out.
• Carry out quality and safety checks following work completion.
• Work independently, managing daily schedules and travel.
• Follow health & safety procedures at all times.
• Feed back recurring issues or product faults to the wider team.

Field Service Engineer

Location: Wrexham and surrounding areas

Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday

We're recruiting a Service Engineer to carry out on-site servicing, inspections, installations and repairs across customer locations. While this is not a highly technical engineering role, it is hands-on, physically demanding at times, and requires someone reliable, practical and comfortable working independently on the road.

Full training is provided, and previous direct experience is not essential. What matters most is a strong practical mindset, confidence using tools, and the ability to manage your own workload while representing the company professionally on-site.

What you'll be doing
