Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking an experienced field technician to service, maintain and repair Volvo Construction Equipment in Stirling and surrounding areas. You will diagnose mechanical, hydraulic and electrical faults with dedicated diagnostic tools and communicate findings clearly to customers and colleagues.

You will also install software updates and manage parts, keeping accurate timesheets and records. The role requires a formal engineering qualification, a proven track record with heavy plant, and

Qualifications

• Formal engineering qualification in Plant Maintenance or related discipline.
• Proven experience repairing heavy construction plant and agricultural equipment.
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding across diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics and electrical systems.
• Good communication skills and ability to build relationships with customers and colleagues.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Service, maintain and repair Volvo Construction Equipment and associated machinery.
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical, hydraulic and electrical faults using diagnostic equipment.
• Identify additional service and repair opportunities and discuss with customers and internal teams.
• Carry out work in line with quotations and time guides, noting any additional work.
• Install software updates and system enhancements when released.
• Complete electronic job cards, reports and timesheets accurately in real time.
• Order and manage parts required for repairs and return parts promptly after job completion.
• Support call-out and overtime requirements as needed.
• Attend product and systems training to maintain technical competence.
• Ensure all work is completed safely and in accordance with standards.
