Job summary

Honeywell Technologies in the United Kingdom is seeking a Field Service Engineer – Grid Entry Units to service, maintain and commission Bio-Gas Grid Entry Units at client sites across the country. This field-based role requires travel, with occasional overnight stays, and on‑site installations and testing of systems.

You will perform planned maintenance, troubleshoot issues, and hand over knowledge to operators, while works on new installation projects when required.

Qualifications

• Experience in industrial servicing or controls systems.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Gas industry experience or HND/HNC preferred, Biogas/ Biomethane exposure advantageous.
• Team player with willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Annual servicing with condition-based servicing and PPM; submit reports.
• Test Grid Entry Unit for safety and proper operation; train users.
• Investigate faults via system analysis and perform replacements.
• Engage with clients to understand issues, observe, suggest improvements, and provide recommendations.
• Meet customers’ needs via remote support on-call rota.
