Job summary

Catering is seeking a Service Engineer in Ipswich to install, maintain and repair industrial equipment across the UK and internationally. The role includes visits to the office for training and regular client visits, with extensive travel and a salary of £40,000–£45,000 plus bonus and travel expenses.

You will perform fault diagnosis, preventative maintenance and provide remote client support. A full UK driving licence and valid passport are required, with overtime and expenses up to £10,000

Qualifications

• Experience servicing industrial or commercial equipment.
• Understanding of mechanical, electrical, or hydraulic systems.
• Overnight stays and international travel required.
• Full UK driving licence and valid passport.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain and repair machinery/equipment to high standards.
• Perform site acceptance testing to ensure equipment operates correctly.
• Carry out planned preventative maintenance per service schedules.
• Provide ongoing remote technical support to clients.
• Complete detailed service reports (WO, scrap reports, timesheets).
• Report safety issues and inspect equipment.
